I've been a longtime fan of Jenn Colella's work, going back to ''Urban Cowboy'' and ''High Fidelity,'' but when did she win a Grammy? I thought this press release was referencing ''Come From Away'' or ''Suffs,'' but neither has won a Grammy, nor is Colella a ''Principal Soloist'' on either. But her Wikipedia entry says: Colella received a Grammy Award in January 2018 for featuring on the ''Dear Evan Hansen'' original cast album. Uh, no. ''Hansen'' won, but its 8 Grammy-winning ''Principal Soloists'' didn't include Colella. She was one of the 16 recorded Virtual Community Voices. Sure, Colella can claim to be on a Grammy-winning album. Or if ''Suffs'' wins on Feb. 2, she'll have been on 2. But she, herself, isn't a Grammy winner. |
