| I thought Joy Woods was fine, but I was particularly impressed with Jordan Tyson as older June. In prior productions, I never felt sympathy for June feeling trapped in playing a prepubescent performer. I thought Ms. Tyson powerfully conveyed the character's frustration and crushed dreams. Another standout was Lesli Margherita as Tessye Tura. Again - a role I've seen performed countless times, but Lesli crushed it. |
