| I'd rather they give someone else a chance -- some comedic actress who is a really funny actress primarily who might have a more limited singing range. How about Wanda Sykes? She'd be great. Or Sandra Bernhard -- who can actually sing well, and is funny as hell. Or maybe Debra Messing, as Ruth isn't that far away from Grace's insecurities from "Will and Grace". Yes, they're older than the character, but so was Rosalind Russell, and she made it a smash. Can Julia Louis-Dreyfus sing? The choreographer could start the big dance number "Swing!" with some hilariously horrible Elaine Benes "Seinfeld" dance moves and have her get progressively better as she emulates the dancers. |
